Resumo:
This monograph examines the manifestations of nostalgia in the reconsumption of the Brazilian telenovela Cheias de Charme, originally broadcast in 2012 and rebroadcast in 2016 and 2024 during Rede Globo’s afternoon programming. The study aims to understand how the show is reinterpreted on TikTok, analyzing how nostalgia is expressed in users’ productions and interactions within this digital environment. It assumes that the nostalgic phenomenon has long been present in Brazilian television through reruns; however, in the current context, it emerges in more dispersed, fragmented, and contested forms, shaped by the experience of networked consumption. This process is discussed through the notion of mediation proposed by Jesús
Martín-Barbero (1997). In the analytical stage, the concept of networked audiovisuals (Gutmann, 2021) is employed to observe the interconnections between nostalgia, Cheias de Charme, and its renewed presence on TikTok.
