Resumo:
In the last decades, the theories about human capital have explained considerably the great accumulation of income and the growth of the economies in the long term. Investment in education has proved to be an important element in differentiating and enhancing the skills needed for the increasingly complex roles of workers in the contemporary world. Given the above, the objective of this study is to show, through a multinomial logit econometric model, empirical evidence demonstrating the positive correlation between schooling and family income in the city of Recife/PE.
