Abstract

This article sought to verify whether greater financing in primary health has negatively affected hospitalizations due to conditions sensitive to primary care in small municipalities in Brazil. For this, the Spatial Fixed Effects Estimator was used. The results suggest that greater financing is associated with greater pressure to use the hospital system.
