Resumo:
This Final Course Project is the creation of a narrative journalistic podcast about the Cabula and Fazenda Coutos massacres and how they expose the criminalization of black youth by public security actions. The research seeks to debate and understand whether public security actions are based on a criminalizing image of black youth and the impacts of this on violence rates. In addition to its social and academic relevance, the choice of topic is justified by the role of journalism as an agent that interprets and contextualizes the environment, helping the population understand the social scenarios in which it finds itself. The methodology used is qualitative, based on in-depth interviews, document analysis, news reports, and exploratory research of scientific studies already produced on the topic.
