Resumo:
This Undergraduate Thesis presents a case study of the Plantão Notícias de Lamarão (PNL)
page, based on an analysis of its production practices and dynamics using Discourse Analysis
with a French approach. The initiative, created by a resident of the municipality of Lamarão
(BA), operates through social networks and WhatsApp, aiming to share information of public
interest with the community. Using the territorial scope of the Sisal Territory and classifying
the municipality as a near-desert, according to the parameters of the Atlas of News, the
research analyzes the role of PNL in the context of information scarcity in the region. This
work is based on studies of local, collaborative, and amateur journalism, considering the
population's engagement in the production of news content and the lack of technical training
of the page's creator. The results indicate that local news journalism is consolidating itself as a
legitimate amateur journalistic practice, supported by digital technologies, capable of filling
information gaps and strengthening community ties beyond the municipality's borders.
