Resumo:
This Final Course Project aims to analyze how tourism seasonality influences the cultural dynamics of Salvador, linking theoretical concepts of tourism, seasonality, and culture to the city’s practical reality. The study reflects on the historical construction of Salvador’s image as a summer destination, questioning why its cultural vitality is perceived as limited to specific periods of the year. The research combines data analysis, including cultural calendars and tourist flows, with interviews conducted with cultural agents. The results indicate that cultural production occurs continuously but faces challenges of visibility and accessibility. It is concluded that overcoming seasonality requires the strengthening of public policies, the decentralization of cultural activities, and the recognition of art as a permanent component of the city’s daily life and identity.
