Resumo:
This work registers Teacher Zenáurea Therezinha Campos Dias’s life journey,
documented with some photographic images, as well as the description and extraction
of indexing units (descriptors and keywords) from these images. To achieve this, I
followed the methodology proposed by Manini (2002), which directs the analysis of the
photos, of an indexical nature, towards the function and importance of the referent in
determining indexicality. As a theoretical framework, I relied primarily on the authors:
Bauer and Gaskell (2002), Camacho (2005), Candau (2019), Gotlib (2022), Joly
(2001), Lancastre (1998), Maimone (2019), Miranda (2000), Passos (2006), and
Siqueira (1948). The research aims to explore the life history of this teacher using
Pujadas’ (1992) biographical method. The overall objective of this work was to evoke
the memory of teacher Zenáurea Therezinha Campos Dias' life history, thus
contributing to the history of education in the municipality of Senhor do Bonfim and
Bahia. The specific objectives were to report on the life and educational work of this
important educator, using her personal diaries and photographic records as research
tools, filling the gap of works about her, as well as continuing the construction of her
family tree, including her history. As a result, I present a biography of this educator,
whose name was chosen for the municipal public library in 2004 and for a room in the
Pedagogical Museum, inaugurated in 2024, in Senhor do Bonfim, Bahia, the land that
granted her citizenship. To validate the history of this educator and manager, I referred
to her personal writing, through relevant excerpts and analyses of her intimate diaries
(1950-1954) and the photos that highlight important moments of her life (1933-2004).
