Resumo:
This monograph aims to discuss the concept of identity and the issues surrounding it.
It starts with a bibliographic review on the concept in different fields of knowledge, including
Social Psychology, Identity Theory, Transfeminism, Philosophy, Feminist Theories and
Cultural Studies. It then proposes a concept of identity that encompasses the different aspects
of the experience, corporality and positionality of the subjects. As an exploratory study, this
monograph brings a dialogue between the I who writes and the I who reads, seeking to
overcome academic barriers of distance between text-product and reading subject. Concluding
with an inquiry into the very validity of the concepts worked on, promoting reflection on how
we think of the Other and the effects of these processes of differentiation/classification
