Resumo:
This text presents part of the research that resulted in a doctoral thesis defended, in 2020, at the Postgraduate Program in Anthropology of the Federal University of Bahia. The objective is to highlight the approach to gender relations in the context of the coco babaçu production chain in the micro-region of Médio Mearim. The feminist character – critical and engaged – of the aforementioned thesis is reaffirmed with respect to the inequality or asymmetry or hierarchy observed in gender relations, two years after the approval of that work.
