Abstract

This article explored the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in librarianship, analyzing its opportunities and challenges. The research highlighted how AI redefines library operations, improving efficiency in organizing collections and personalizing user service. Furthermore, it addressed the need for professionals to acquire new skills in AI and ensure ethics in the use of data. The implementation of ethical guidelines was emphasized to maximize the benefits of AI while preserving the values of equitable access to information. It was concluded that AI represents not only a technological evolution but also an opportunity for libraries to adapt to the digital era, strengthening their role in social inclusion and access to information.
