Resumo:
The study focuses on the issue of nourishment in quilombola’s communities in the Cerrado of Goiás. In order to deal with feeding, the issues of land use, as well as the access to land by black rural families, are intrinsic. The land is closely linked to the relationship of eating habits and practices in rural quilombos. In this study four quilombos are presented: Fazenda Canabrava (Flores Velha), Baco Pari, Extrema and Povoado Levantado. Documentary and field researches were conducted based on a partnership in an interinstitutional project with the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation-Brasília, where semi-structured interviews, informal conversations and field observations were applied. In addition to the collaborative project work with the institution, the study encompasses the researcher's experience, socio-environmental issues, land use, the Brazilian territorial formation and the role of the State before black communities and quilombola territories. The reflection on how the issue of land, environment, culture and food are interconnected in quilombola’s communities permeates all the work. From the understanding of the indissociation between the environmental and social issues, it was possible to analyze stories, paths, culture and experiences in the Brazilian cerrado, related to food in the studied context.
