Human beings and the environment are in constant interaction and transformation, whose realities are imposed on the place and its surroundings over time, characterizing, shaping and constructing what can be called landscape. This work refers to the analysis of the landscape of the neighborhood of Plataforma, located in the Subúrbio Ferroviário of Salvador. The fundamental objective is to understand the landscape of Plataforma as a social and identity representation of the neighborhood. The research methodology starts from a morphological analysis of the landscape, also using narrative interviews with a qualitative approach through subjective reports told from the memories of the participants, with the aim of understanding the
symbol behind the elements of the landscape for the community of Plataforma. The result of the research points to the construction of a landscape with strong symbolic and cultural value, whose individual memories refer to diverse personal meanings that represent the feelings of the local residents, associated with the meaning of the neighborhood for the community, the wealth inherited by the historical-cultural constructions, the material and immaterial values, and this relationship of influence on the life history of the countless families belonging to this area.
