Resumo:
This research investigates security weaknesses on Instagram and their impact on the professional activities of digital influencers. By analyzing cases of account hacking and collecting data from 43 content creators, the research discusses how the dependence on these platforms to generate income and visibility makes influencers especially vulnerable to technical and institutional failures. The study is structured in five chapters, covering the functioning of digital platforms, the work of influencers, the relevance of Instagram in the Brazilian context, security mechanisms and the symbolic, economic and emotional effects of invasions. Cases like those of Luiza Allan and Thais Andrade illustrate the concrete consequences of the lack of effective support from the platform, highlighting the need for regulation and institutional protection for these professionals. In conclusion, the lack of effective digital security policies jeopardizes not only financial performance, but also the emotional health, reputation and continued work of influencers in the digital economy.
