Resumo:
This paper aims to model the change in the productive structure of Bahia state resulting from the
recycling of municipal solid waste generated in the city of Salvador. For this, the technological
routes of mechanical recycling and energy recycling were considered. The input-output analysis
was used to simulate the change in the technological structure of inputs provided by the adoption
of each route. The results show that mechanical recycling is more efficient, both from an economic
point of view as the conservation of natural resources.
