Resumo:
Previous research shows that in the 2020 elections in Brazil there was a proliferation of fake news involving the following themes: fraud at the electronic ballot box, vulnerability of electronic systems, defense of the printed vote, among others. Electoral fake news has been the subject of extensive debate on the part of the government and society as it involves issues of voting legitimacy, freedom of the nation, respect for governmental institutions and prestige of the truth. The purpose of this work is to identify the links between the production of fake news and the management and organization of elections and electoral process. The research will initially be based on a literature review based on published scientific articles on the subject, institutional documents and specific legislation. Finally, empirical research was carried out to investigate occurrences and peculiarities in the 2020 elections, based on reports of experiences lived by Electoral Justice servers in the routine of planning the elections
