Resumo:
The dissertation presents a proposal for the intervention and restoration of the Casa das Pestanas and recommendations for the surroundings of Praça Marechal Câmara, both dating from the 18th century and serving as testimonies to the Luso-Azorean colonization strategy in Rio Grande do Sul. Located in Vila de Santo Amaro do Sul, the second district of the municipality of General Câmara, this locality features an architectural and urban ensemble protected at the federal level by the National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN). The project unfolds in the following phases: analysis of the historical and constructive context; diagnosis of the current conservation status of the Casa das Pestanas; and development of an intervention and restoration proposal for the Casa das Pestanas and recommendations for the surroundings of Praça Marechal Câmara, presenting measures aimed at preserving the authenticity of the monument and its distinctive typological characteristics. Additionally, as a proposed use, it suggests the creation of the Santo Amaro do Sul Center for Training and Cultural References, focused on community-based tourism, with the goal of promoting social transformation and enhancing the value of cultural heritage.
