Resumo:
This thesis brings together theoretical reflections and practical issues that involve the production of work They arrive by sea, carried out between 2022 and 2023. The work starts from the conceptual key monstrosity to think about the photographic image, montage as a method of work and ritual performance as part of the mode of operation. I worry here, with a description of the path taken by the work from its gestation until its exhibition as an individual exhibition and with the future directions to which it points: a photobook and a feature film script, both still in the embryonic stage. Starting from a performance held in the seas of Alagoas in January 2022, I create a legend that I attribute to the northeastern beach people, the Legend of the Incriadas, and bring together a series of images,
maps, objects and notes that investigate the appearances of these saltwater monsters on the coast of Ceará and other states in the Northeast. Here, I allow myself, as a researcher and artist of image and word, a series of considerations that unfold from necessarily the arrival of definitive answers or the theoretical refinement distanced from artistic work, and which describe much more the practical poetic path in which I was involved than of the work and which describe much more the practical poetic path in which I was involved than necessarily the arrival of definitive answers or the theoretical refinement distanced from doing artistic work.
