Resumo:
This study aims to demonstrate, through a methodological teaching alternative, how Knowledge Management, combined with Organizational Learning, can contribute to the continuous education of leaders and managers in the Bahia Military Fire Department, based on the perceptions of graduates from the Officer Training Improvement Course. This is applied research with a qualitative approach that examines the formative process of graduates from the course. An explanatory research design was adopted, including document analysis and data collection through questionnaires and semi-structured, in-person interviews. The results indicate a significant need for changes in the training framework for organizational leaders and managers. The interviewees identified a lack, deficiency, or imperfection in Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning within the Bahia Military Fire Department. Additionally, there was considerable dissatisfaction with the Officer Training Improvement Course, linked to the absence of a formalized competency map or matrix within the institution. In this context, Knowledge Management, combined with Organizational Learning, can significantly contribute to the training framework through the implementation of social management technology, utilizing strategic competency-based learning paths in the training and development of senior officers for their institutional roles. This includes the creation, sharing, and application of knowledge, achieving institutional objectives, and improving public service practices.
