Resumo:
The construction industry stands out as one of the segments that most register work accidents in Brazil. Construction sites are dynamic and present a complexity of problems related to safety due to the diversity and instability of the factors involved, being composed of a variety of elements involved in the production stage of construction (materials, equipment, and workers). Within this context, there is a need for studies that develop tools to support safety management in construction. Agent-based modeling has stood out in the literature for analyzing the topic from a bottom-up approach, that is, from the perception of the production base (employees) about the organizational environment and management actions. The present study aims to develop a proposed model to analyze the safe and unsafe behavior of concrete wall assemblers in the face of different management actions aimed at construction site safety from an agent-based approach. The project adopts Design Science Research (DSR) as a methodological strategy, presenting the following research steps: (1) Awareness: mapping the current state of knowledge on the subject, including a systematic literature review; (2) Suggestion of the artifact: elaboration of the basic conception for the structure of the model based on theoretical and empirical data; (3) Development and evaluation of the artifact: development of the model, based on the use of the MESA software platform, simulation with generation of results and performance of analysis to evaluate the applicability of the model and the structural and replicative validity; (4) Conclusion: final structuring of the instrument, including a description of its main limitations, strengths and recommendations for improvements. Regarding the classification of the artifact, the proposal seeks to develop a model-type artifact, that is, its main objective is to represent the real contexts of the conception of the problem and the solution spaces. It is expected that the project's results will contribute practically to the conduction of safety management actions on construction sites, through the evaluation of the impact of risk anticipation, to improve safety in the construction work environment.
