Resumo:
This research aims to identify the implementation of asset investigations within the Military
Police of Bahia, whose primary function is to investigate the asset evolution of military police
officers in order to clarify whether there are indications of corruption, specifically regarding
illicit enrichment. With this objective, it is necessary to contextualize the issue of corruption
in the national scenario, as well as to define it. Then, it is important to map and understand the
issue of corruption that exists within the police, which will be done through questionnaires
and documentary research, mainly from the existing complaints in the PMBA Internal Affairs.
Finally, it is necessary to understand how the asset investigation works in other agencies
where it already exists, with the aim of mapping it out, identifying the strengths and
weaknesses of this procedure, and the ways to apply it within the Military Police of Bahia.
