Resumo:
The research presented here addresses contemporary Brazilian painting through a series of selected works created between 2018 and 2023. The analysis of these works establishes a connection with the production of other artists, discussing the historical trajectory of Brazilian painting in relation to popular traditions, modernisms, and the diverse imagery that permeates contemporary art production. To this end, I highlight themes, including the suggested figuration, organicity, and the detail. The dissertation seeks to expand the debate on figuration and narrativity, building analytical pathways for interpreting my practical work in painting.
