Resumo:
This final work presented to the Professional Postgraduate Program in Music (PPGPROM) of
the School of Music (EMUS) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) addresses the
relevance of nurturing the technique of an oboist working in a professional orchestral
environment. This work consists of a memorial, an article, a final product and reports of
supervised professional practices. The memorial displays the main achievements of the author's
musical journey from the first steps in his professional training emphasizing the decisive
moments and the paths that led him to the development of this research. In the article, the aim
has been to understand how to structure a schedule of technical maintenance routines for
professional oboists focusing on practice effectiveness and time optimization. To make it
feasible, the goal was to identify the multifaceted role of the professional oboist, to recognize
the need for a study of maintenance routines, to verify what already exists, to define what the
practice consists of, how to present it in an efficient and improved manner, and lastly, to relate
these parameters to the author's professional practice. I would like to present the final product,
which consists of a proposal for standard routine exercises to preserve the technique of
professional oboists In closing, the practice reports, can be considered a logbook, providing
essential inputs to be incorporated both in the article and in the product development.
