Resumo:
This work was developed during the Master’s degree in the Professional Graduate Program in Music at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), in the field of Music Education. It contains a descriptive memorial highlighting the author’s musical trajectory, the reports of supervised practices, paper, and as the result, the own research became a final product through the course “Didactic Meetings between conductors and young students from fanfares and marching bands of Bahia”, beyond arrangements adapted for French horn ensembles and final conclusions. The final product is a result of open courses actions performed between October 2020 and June 2021 through PROEXT/UFBA in order to develop learning and teaching methodologies for French horn, instrument used currently in the ensembles. During two semesters the action sought to present and to facilitate the pedagogical principles, the practicing and art of playing French horn focusing on musical reading, breathing, mouthpiece, articulation, posture, phrasing, and others. The pedagogical online meetings provided basis to evaluate the technical and musical development from two receipts to learning in music: oral and written. The study development provided the application of a pedagogical model in which it was possible to establish a strategy that would allow diary production of materials with authorial works. The main aim of the course was to understand and observe the perception’s mechanism of how to play and comprehend music at these corporations, applied to French horn literature. Thereby, it was identified two paramount and inseparable aspects in the musical development – the Quantitative, the gymnastics and technical conditioning in the exercises; and the Qualitative, the playing and the “musical making” throughout the repertoire. So, the developed course became by itself an investigative product in proposing to the musical community, focus of the action, a knowledge exchange through a virtual “neo-collective”.
