Resumo:
This Final Conclusion Work is justified as a requirement to obtain a Master's Degree by
the Professional Graduate Program in Music at Federal University of Bahia. The general
objective is to point out the important moments of my academic and professional life, in
addition to presenting the research results in the area of Music Education, answering the
problem question: How can the practice of improvisation be carried out with the
vibraphone students at an intermediate level? The justification for this theme refers to my
experience in various groups and musical projects in the city of Rio de Janeiro, as a
musician and vibraphone teacher. The methodology of the present work is based on a
qualitative approach and comprises the preparation of the Memorial, the Academic
Article and the Final Product in the format of the Exercise Book that includes progressive
didactic studies and authorial pieces, intended for students and teachers in the role of
support material to the practice of improvisation on the vibraphone. In this way, the TCF
aims to discuss new musical educational possibilities, promoting the expansion of the
repertoire and didactic material for vibraphone in Brazil.
