Práticas sustentáveis no Museu Tempostal

Abstract

Considering the need to insert sustainable parameters in museum institutions, the research is focused on sustainable practices at the Tempostal Museum, in order to propose sustainable management practices for the museum. To this end, it is necessary to develop analyzes and relationships on sustainable management and museum management references, carry out sustainable diagnosis of the institution and to draw up proposals for the inclusion of the 5S program and the 5 R's of sustainability in the museum. This research is then carried out with a qualitative methodological approach, including bibliographical, documentary and experimental research. Furthermore, it is exploratory, because the observation procedure was used from the diagnosis of sustainable practices at the Tempostal Museum. Given this, it appears that museums play a fundamental role in promoting sustainability, and their daily activities also cause environmental impacts. For this reason, it is necessary to implement the 5S program and the 5 R's of sustainability policy as part of the museum plan, in order to promote sustainable practices in the institution. This requires the realization that, in this way, museums will be contributing to sustainable development.
