Resumo:
Based on experiences and specific observations I analyze in this essay several possibilities of triggering the binary purity/impurity in discourse and prevention practices to HIV. I believe that, while this is fundamental for the conformation of HIV-positive people as threat sources, it updates the association of the epidemic with fear and even death – Images often structuring preventive public health tactics. I also note the contextualization with what we could call risk policies, which, by instituting the control over our sexual relations makes AIDS patients a kind of guilty victim. At the same time, the attempt to change sexual behavior through the rationalization of sex It presents serious limits and generates very variable results, since it distances itself considerably from the erotic imaginary. Finally, I'm afraid how some preventive strategies of the the LGBT movement itself may incur in the reification of this population as a risk group, a distinctive category in the face of the moralization of the AIDS epidemic.
