Resumo:
The petrochemical industry faces significant challenges in optimizing procedures to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This paper addresses the growing importance of procedure automation in this sector, driven by operational complexity and strict regulations. We explore technological advances, implementation challenges, and expected impacts on productivity and safety through the integration of automated systems. The focus is on developing a procedure automation system for a Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) plant using Emerson’s DeltaV Distributed Control System (SDCD). Centralizing information distribution, particularly for prestartup activities, aims to simplify decision-making and identify faults, promoting operational efficiency. Objectives include documenting requirements for effective pre-startup and developing an automation project on DeltaV. Specific goals involve monitoring procedures, interviewing experienced operators, and designing the platform architecture. Full simulation will be validated through extensive testing, emphasizing functionality, usability, and fidelity to the simulation.
