Resumo:
This study had as main theme the analysis of the performance of a dam of earth and
rock formation based on the data of the installed geotechnical instrumentation, after
10 years of its construction and filling of the reservoir. Firstly, a literature review was
carried out with the intention to base the study, to review the theoretical basis of soil
behavior, geotechnical parameters and design criteria for dam stability, as well as the
types of auscultation instruments for geotechnical monitoring. After the literature
review, a case study of a hydroelectric dam located in the state of Minas Gerais was
performed and its stability analysis was performed based on the data of the
instruments, concluding that the dam presents behavior within the safety criteria and
according to project.
