Resumo:
Entre infâncias e espaços urbanos or Among infants and urban spaces is an urban
anthropological study of interdisciplinary inspiration that from an ethnography
aims to understand the children’s dwelling of Atlântico Norte, part of the
metropolitan region of Salvador (Bahia) used and inhabited by privileged social
sectors, on the coast of Lauro de Freitas district. The reflections involve the
definition of concepts such as childhood, parental network, dwelling, image and
use of space; a methodological approach for the development of an urban
ethnographic work with children from privileged sectors, centered on their own
perceptions and not on the adults that surround them; as well as records related to
the structure of the urban space and the image that the children have of this city,
the activities and plays of these children, the forms of locomotion and the type of
care and attention paid to them by the parental support networks.
