Resumo:
The work in progress in the fourth edition of the AU+E/UFBA Residency presents the professional performance process of the residents of the Nucleação UFPEL – Pelotas/RS, developed together with the residents of the Ocupação do Corridor das Tropas in the region of Passo dos Negros, intermediated by the Urban Ethnographic Studies Group (GEEUR/UFPel) and has the participation of other agents. The city of Pelotas is located in the south of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with about 340 thousand inhabitants. The Passo dos Negros region, on the banks of the São Gonçalo Canal, has the production of the inhabited space marked by charqueadora activity - based on exploitation of enslaved black people -, later by the implantation of villages precarious and insufficient workers, and with the consolidation from subdivisions created by the government, followed by irregular occupations. Recently, this area has been object of interest for development projects and real estate speculation, becoming a disputed territory between these developments and the residents of areas of precarious urbanization. The work presents the construction process of the popular plan that develops from of technical assistance to the process of resistance to removal and dispute for permanence of the residents of the Occupation of the Corridor of the Troops. work is divided in four parts: bibliographic research; relationship with interlocutors; process with the residents and the territory; and the “Popular Plan for the Corridor of Troops: a counter-proposal for the dispute over the production of inhabited space in Passo dos Negros, Pelotas/RS”.
