Resumo:
The Brazilian Electric Matrix needs expansion and diversification to preserve national energy security and maintain or increase its renewable predominance. In this context, this work aimed to carry out an exploratory study on combined centralized generation via wind-solar hybrid power plants in Brazil, aiming to elaborate its current panorama and perspectives. The methodology used was information search and analysis through bibliographic research of national technical documents and academic articles. The results indicate that there is still no specific regulation of wind-solar hybrid plants in Brazil, but there is potential for implementing this type of enterprise, especially in the Northeast region. The conclusion reached is that the use of hybrid power plants in Brazil can be a relevant opportunity for the Brazilian Electric Sector, but it needs a regulatory advance to fill the vacuum of the current regulatory framework on this issue.
