Resumo:
In the field of public health in Brazil, the practices of
closer to the daily life of communities
are those linked to the activities of Primary Care to
Health, through the Family Health Strategy - ESF. In this
context, it is essential to reflect on the meaning of the expression “primary health care” which, despite being largely
used, still has different interpretations, from a
comprehensive design, which involves the participation of families
and the community in health care; to a selective focus
low-cost interventions aimed at combating diseases in
underdeveloped and developing countries.
Initially, we will reflect on the different interpretations of the expression “primary care” in order to understand
the conception used by the organization of the Brazilian public health system. The following is a brief overview of
the concepts of territory and territorialization and their relations with
and we will present the primary care strategies in
health in the SUS that use the concept of territory. As final considerations, we will discuss the challenges and advances of incorporation
of the concept of territory and territorialization in the implementation of the
Brazilian public health system.
