Resumo:
This work is the result of the Professional Master's degree in the area of musical and interpretation and contains:
– a descriptive memorial;
– an Academic Article;
– final product consisting of a violin and piano recital to be held in the week of
article defense;
– reports of practices supervised with Professor Alexandre Casado.
The present article is about the technical preparation of Carmen Fantasy of
Pablo de Sarasate. The choice of this piece was due to the fact that he received theinvitation to pitch with the Symphonic Orchestra of the “Escola de Música da UFRJ” conducted by Felipe Prazeres.
Because it is a piece that demands an advanced technical level, I found it
essential to structure the preparation work before even beginning to read the work. I searched for technical and idiomatic points of the violin. The article begins with a historical contextualization of the opera Carmen by G. Bizet followed by Pablo de Sarasate. I chose to divide the article in parts, and in each part destined to each movement of the work (Introduction, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th movements) and in each movement, I separated which critical points of preparation, approaching each point,
making my suggestion of preparation, based on methods exponent in the violin school
like for example Carl Flesch and also, for the my personal experience citing what I
learned from my teachers.
