<description>Equedes na literatura acadêmica brasileira: a força da ancestralidade feminina no Ilê Axé Oyá Tolá
Montenegro, Andréa Natividade

The dissertation “Equedes in Brazilian Academic Literature: The Strength of Female Ancestrality in Ilê Axé Oyá Tolá” addresses the invisibility and limited representation of women occupying specific roles in Candomblé—such as equedes, ajoiês, iarobás, and makotas—within Brazilian academic literature. Historically, studies have focused on the figure of the Iyalorixá, neglecting other forms of female protagonism essential to the daily life and ritual continuity of Afro-Brazilian religious communities. This research seeks to fill this gap by analyzing how these roles are portrayed in classical and contemporary works and by confronting these representations with the lived experiences of equedes in the Ilê Axé Oyá Tolá terreiro, located in Candeias, Bahia. The study adopts a qualitative, phenomenological approach, combining theoretical contributions from anthropology, history, gender studies, and religious studies. Methodologically, it integrates participant observation, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and autoethnography, considering the researcher’s dual position as equede and investigator. Additionally, a systematic literature review was conducted using the ProKnow-C method, which enabled the construction of a bibliographic portfólio. Searches were carried out between September 2023 and January 2024 in databases such as Google Scholar, CAPES, BDTD, and SciELO, using keywords related to the research objectives. Of the 90 initial publications identified, only eight were directly related to the topic, complemented by seminal works absent from the databases. Results reveal that classical literature tends to reduce equedes to auxiliary roles associated with domestic tasks, disregarding their sacerdotal and political dimensions. In contrast, recent publications and field data highlight the centrality of these women in maintaining liturgy, organizing community life, and transmitting ancestral knowledge. Equedes emerge as spiritual and social pillars, responsible for coordinating rituals, managing resources, and ensuring the continuity of religious practices. By integrating theory and practice, this study contributes to the recognition of female ancestral knowledge and expands interpretative horizons on Candomblé as a dynamic, plural, and resilient practice.

<description>A rua e o patrimônio: uma etnografia militante sobre a cultura da pixação baiana.
Maia, Pedro Henrique Nascimento
Velame, Fábio Macedo
The dissertation "The Culture of Bahian Pixação and the Passing of Memory Between Generations of Pixadores (2014-2024)" consists of a militant ethnography, developed by researcher and pixador Pedro Maia, which conceptualizes the Culture of Bahian Pixação based on the definitions presented by pixadores themselves about the vernacular literacy process that creates, refines and transmits the Letrado Baiano among generations of pixadores. The dissertation consists of a historical record of the events that culminated in the creation and performance of the LAMA Collective.

This dissertation investigates the work of federal deputy Abdias Nascimento in the National &#13;
Congress between 1983 and 1987. The study aims to analyze the speeches made by &#13;
Abdias Nascimento in the plenary sessions of the Chamber of Deputies and the National Congress between 1983 and 1987. The research carries out a critical bibliographical review of the field of studies on Abdias Nascimento. It also aims to identify how the congressman addresses the issue of race in his speeches and mobilizes the claims, denunciations, values, myths and symbols related to his racial identity. The work is based on the theoretical-methodological procedures of Discourse Analysis (DA) and archive &#13;
ethnography. The oral communications given during the mandate of deputy Abdias Nascimento are used as the primary source of data. The public pronouncements made from the rostrum were selected, totaling 64 speeches given in the plenary sessions of the Chamber of Deputies and in the joint sessions of the National Congress, during the 47th legislature (1983-1987). The results of the research include the identification of key themes such as international politics and pan-Africanist solidarity, policies of memory and symbolic-affective value, affirmative action policies and policies of black representation, &#13;
participation and mobilization.

<description>Identidade cultural e racismo: estudo bibliográfico sobre o tema no ensino médio

The proposed study aims to explore how the concepts of identity and culture intertwine in the&#13;
formation of the notion of cultural identity associated with structural racism in the context of&#13;
public high school education in Brazil. The general objective of this dissertation was to&#13;
investigate, from the perspective of cultural identities, how the identity perceptions of young&#13;
Black public high school students are constructed through a bibliographic research, followed&#13;
by the following specific objectives: 1)To analyze, within the history of basic education, the&#13;
processes of antiracist struggle and resistance that strengthen cultural identities of value,&#13;
starting from the 1988 Constitution; 2)To understand how ethnic-racial and cultural diversities&#13;
are addressed and incorporated into high school education; 3)To conduct a bibliographic&#13;
review of the literature on cultural identity, racism, and high school education in the Google&#13;
Scholar scientific database.To achieve the proposed objectives, the research adopted a&#13;
qualitative approach of an exploratory nature, defined as bibliographic research, to investigate&#13;
the debate on the relationship between cultural identity and racism in high school education&#13;
based on bibliographic sources cataloged in the Google Scholar scientific database. The&#13;
descriptors “cultural identity”, “cultural identities”, and “racism” were used to carry out the&#13;
search in the chosen database. The inclusion criteria adopted to build the research corpus in&#13;
this platform were: books, articles, theses, and dissertations published between 2013 and&#13;
2023, written in Portuguese, within the field of Human Sciences and Applied Social Sciences&#13;
of the CNPq. Data were analyzed using the textual discourse analysis method. The&#13;
dissertation was structured into three sections. In the introduction, the first section, the object&#13;
of study, objectives, and methodological path were presented, considering the steps for&#13;
carrying out the bibliographic research. In the second section, the intersections between&#13;
education, antiracism, culture, and Black identity were discussed. In the final section, the&#13;
struggles of the Brazilian Black Movement for an antiracist education were emphasized,&#13;
including an analysis of high school education in Brazil with a focus on social movements for&#13;
education, and the inclusion of Laws 10.639/2003, 11.645/2008, and Resolution 01/2004,&#13;
which establish guidelines for the teaching of Afro-Brazilian, African, and Indigenous History&#13;
and Culture. The findings of the research revealed a limitation in the production of materials&#13;
in the literature that highlight ethnic culture and identity in Brazil. This work seeks to&#13;
contribute to the understanding of the complex relationship between cultural identity and&#13;
structural racism in the field of basic education, with emphasis on high school, offering&#13;
important insights for the development of more inclusive and egalitarian educational policies.
