The Female Athlete Triad is a condition that affects physically active women,
characterized by the association of eating disorders, amenorrhea and osteoporosis.
This study aimed to review the literature on the nutritional management of calcium and
vitamin D and their relevance to bone mineral density and sports performance in
female athletes. The relationships between vitamin D levels in the blood, bone health
and athletic performance were analyzed, as well as the effects of supplementing these
nutrients. The results show that vitamin D supplementation increases blood levels of
25(OH)D and reduces markers of bone resorption, helping to preserve bone health,
especially in situations of low sun exposure. Calcium also plays an essential role in
bone mineralization, especially when there is inadequate intake of this mineral. The
diversity of supplementation protocols and the scarcity of information on dietary intake
limited the generalizability of the results. Therefore, more studies are needed to
investigate the role of vitamin D and calcium in bone health and performance in female
athletes.

The trans population is inserted in a system that seeks to control their bodies and restrict their rights, factors that are associated with pathologization and bureaucratization of hormone use, process that configure agency of trans people over their corporealities, regardledd of the intended destinations and purposes. In this context, it is essential to discuss the health and care of trans people, which, in addition to full and safe access to hormones, also concerns diet, considering the changes established by the nutritional transition and the
vulnerabilities faced by the trans population. Thus, this is na investigative study aiming to evaluate the potential of diet in preventing the side effects of hormones for trans people. For the survey of the theoretical frameork, the databases of LILACS, Portal Periódicos CAPES, SciELO, and Google Scholar, while for the dietary and nutritional recommendations developed, pathology guides related to the side effects of hormone use were consulted, as well as research on data from the Brazilian population and trans people, in addition to instruments and specific studies related to food compostion. The recommendations developed were based on the main side effects presented by the health and care guides of trans people analyzed, which were
cardiovascular and bone problems. It is concluded that diet has the potential to prevent some of the side effects of hormone use for trans people, and that there is still much room for further research in order to explore new perspectives on the diet of the trans population.
