In Brazil, women entered military careers around 1950, being a recent achievement in
our democracy. In Bahia, the literature indicates that this access began in 1980.
However, a model persists in which it is not common for women to occupy spaces in a
significant way. Both from the point of view of access and from the point of view of
advancement, it is necessary to evaluate the context in which this woman is inserted,
addressing their level of representation within the Military Police of Bahia, forty years
after their first entry. On the other hand, the Public Defender's Office, with the advent of
LC 80/94, emerged as an institution focused on promoting Human Rights, with gender
equality asits main banner. Within the scope of the internal organization of the
Defender's Office, it is clear that the defense of military personnel cannot be dissociated
from the critical outlook and values advocated as the foundations of the Defender's
Office's raison d'être. This is the driving force for the limitation on the entry of women and
the low representation in command posts to have been observed and questioned in a
public hearing aimed at this purpose on February 6, 2020. Thus, the path forward points
to the creation of an Observatory of Institutional Gender Violence organized by the
Public Defender's Office with the aim of continually collecting more accurate data on the
reality stated to support actions that may impact in some way on the given panorama.
The observatory will also provide data on the reality of military firefighters, thus closing
the state public security forces. The present study considers the theory of the glass
ceiling (ceillingglass) in Daniela Versola Vaz, Laudicéia Soares de Oliveira, Andreia
Valeria Steil and Cristina Tavares da Costa Rocha, from a feminist epistemological
perspective and proposes to be structured in the field of everyday interactions
.Instruments such as a historical and conceptual survey of central elements were used
to better understand the career structure. Data collection and the state of the art are
included to evaluate the current situation of women's role in this career, in the time frame
from 2019 to 2022, evaluating legal and constitutional aspects to extract the data
necessary to map the situation, and how This has repercussions on the proposal to
create and structure an Observatory of Institutional Gender Violence in the Public
Defender's Office. The research points to a gradual increase in representation, for now
more present in access, as ascension to higher positions is slower.

The dissertation investigates the relationship between environmental conflicts and the Judiciary with a focus on environmental jurisdiction in the State of Bahia, based on the analysis of the situation of lawsuits in progress between 2019 and 2022 in the area covered by the 3rd Regional Court of Agrarian and Environmental Conflicts, which is provided for by law, but has not yet been installed. The research starts from the discussion of the role of the Judiciary and the jurisdictional protection of environmental litigation in Brazil in the context of the environmental crisis, to then analyze the current functioning of environmental jurisdiction and describe the profile of lawsuits involving environmental conflicts and, finally, to propose a model of environmental jurisdiction applicable to the Judiciary of Bahia. The research has an exploratory-descriptive character, with a qualitative-quantitative and interdisciplinary approach, based on legislation and procedural information collected from the SireneJud interactive panel. The study demonstrated that the option of the Bahian legislator in 2007 for specialization in the 1st degree was correct, as the largest number of environmental lawsuits are in this degree of jurisdiction, but the non-installation of the Regional Courts of Agrarian and Environmental Conflict contrasts with the pioneering spirit of the state. In the absence of the installation of the 3rd Regional Court of Agrarian and Environmental Conflicts, most environmental processes are processed in courts that process and judge various matters and without the necessary specialization to deal with the complexity of environmental conflicts. A scenario was identified that compromises the speed and effectiveness of environmental justice due to the high concentration of cases in final instance districts, the fragmentation of a significant portion of the collection among initial instance districts (with less structure, often lacking a titular judge), an accumulation of pending cases and a low proportion of judgments in relation to the volume of cases. Thus, the specialization of jurisdiction and the installation and proper functioning of the Regional Courts of Agrarian and Environmental Conflict are a promising solution to deal with the complexity of environmental conflicts and promote environmental justice in the state.

Racism has been a structural and institutional problem in our society. Various institutions, including military organizations, have also reproduced this practice among their members, both inside and outside certain religious spaces. In this context, this work discusses religious racism and the educational practices aimed at addressing this issue. The general objective of the research is to understand religious racism and its interface with the Military Police, both in terms of practicing racism and the institutional response to it. The research is guided by the question of the practice of religious racism committed by members of the Military Police of Bahia against the sacred spaces of Candomblé and its followers. The central question is: how has the Military Police of Bahia responded institutionally to the practice of religious racism committed by its members against the sacred spaces of Candomblé and its followers in the city of Salvador during the period from 2005 to 2023? The theoretical framework was built using, among others, the concepts of racism (FREITAS, 2015; ALMEIDA, 2018; SODRÉ, 2023), police (OLIVEIRA, 2014, 2003), religious racism (NASCIMENTO, 2016; OLIVEIRA, 2017; RAMOS and BARBOSA, 2019), and Candomblé (SANTOS, 2010; NASCIMENTO, 2013). The investigation was based on bibliographic research (analysis of selected works and articles that contributed to the construction of the analytical framework), documentary research (collection and interpretation of institutional documents), and also includes data collection through semi-structured interviews. As a result of the investigation, the researcher presents a summary of a manual for police actions in the sacred spaces of Afro-Brazilian religions.

The path for women to access the main positions that hold power is always difficult, making it often prohibitive to reach and realize their professional dreams. This Master's thesis seeks to study and understand the historical, social, cultural and legal components of female underrepresentation in politics, as well as what are the state responses, legal and political frameworks adopted by public authorities aimed at seeking gender equality, with deepening of some actions developed by the Superior Electoral Court with the purpose of complying with these assertions. To this end, the contributions of specialized doctrine were adopted, with an incursion into the main political frameworks aimed at promoting the political participation of women and their effective inclusion in politics, in addition to the analysis of specific legislation and the form of social action of the Superior Electoral Court in implementing of these rights. The aim is to understand the different expressions of public policies and actions developed by public authorities in favor of achieving women's political participation in public life, as well as contributing to the improvement of policies aimed at achieving gender equality.
