Cidade Mercadoria : paisagem e consumo na Orla Marítima do bairro da Barra, Salvador – BA, entre os anos de 2013 e 2017

Abstract

Esta dissertação analisou a dinâmica da economia política do espaço urbano a partir das relações entre paisagem e consumo, à luz das intervenções urbanas implantadas pelo prefeito Antônio Carlos Magalhães Neto (ACM NETO) entre os anos de 2013 e 2017 na Orla Marítima Marítima do bairro da Barra. Pretendeu-se verificar como as ações e práticas políticas implantadas na gestão do prefeito ACM NETO se conectou com um projeto econômico de intervenção urbana, tendo em vista a formação de uma paisagem urbana destinada ao consumo. Este trabalho dialogou com diversos elementos interdisciplinares, a partir de uma leitura Lefebvriana e marxiana das práticas e políticas da intervenção urbana na Orla Marítima Marítima do bairro da Barra da cidade do Salvador. Para isso foi requerida uma narrativa histórica, socioeconômica e geográfica que envolveu a transformação do espaço urbano tendo em vista a crítica da economia política do espaço urbano e sua relação com a totalidade econômica. Fundamentalmente, pretendeu-se construir um procedimento investigativo qualiquantitativo contextualizando a realidade econômica da cidade do Salvador de 2003 até 2017 para estabelecer um constante diálogo entre as políticas de intervenção urbana de ACM NETO (2013 – 2017) na Orla Marítima Marítima do bairro da Barra e a razão econômica que se revelou em sua essência.

This research aims to analyse the dynamics of the political economy of the urban space from the relationship between landscape and consumption focusing on the urban interventions implemented by the mayor Antônio Carlos Magalhães Neto (ACM NETO) between the years of 2013 and 2017 in the Barra district. The goal was to understand how the actions and political practices implemented during the Mayor administration is connected with an economic project of urban intervention, highlighting the formation of an urban space destined to consumption. This work interacts with several interdisciplinary elements, and it is built on a Lefebvriana and Marixana interpretation of the practices and policies of the urban interference on the coastline of the city of Salvador.Furthermore, it was required a historical, socioeconomic and geographical narrative that involved the transformation of the landscape in regard to the criticism of the political economy of urban space and its relationship with the economic totality. Essentially, it was intended to construct a qualitative-quantitative investigative research, contextualizing the economic reality of the city of Salvador from 2003 to 2017, to establish a constant dialogue between ACM NETO's urban intervention policies (2013-2017) on the coastline of Barra district and the economic motivation that has been exposed in its core.
