Partiste e seus diálogos criativos: construindo uma dramaturgia da partida

Abstract

A tese “PARTISTE E SEUS DIÁLOGOS CRIATIVOS: Construindo uma Dramaturgia da Partida”, faz parte do Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Cênicas da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Apresenta o estudo do processo de criação da peça Partiste, escrita por Paulo Henrique Alcântara, que, em sua feitura, recorreu a diálogos com a memória, a poesia e o cinema. Tais elementos contribuíram para o aparecimento de uma obra memorialista, envolvida por um tema central: a partida. Seu surgimento, bem como a análise dos seus vetores criativos e dos componentes do texto, motiva a construção de outra peça sobre a mesma temática. No primeiro capítulo discute-se a memória como fonte para a criação de Partiste enquanto trama autobiográfica, cuja elaboração amparou-se no acesso a fotografias da família do próprio autor e da sua cidade natal. Roland Barthes, Gaston Bachelard, Gilles Deleuze e, sobretudo, Henri Bergson comparecem para o entendimento de memória. No segundo capítulo, há uma abordagem sobre como a poesia de Adélia Prado e o filme Central do Brasil, de Walter Salles, nutriram a criação. Logo após, o terceiro capítulo apresenta as relações entre dramaturgia e memória a partir dos dramaturgos Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams, Eugene O´Neill, Mauro Rasi e o cineasta Giuseppe Tornatore que, em suas peças e roteiros, acionaram recordações como meio de criação. Por fim, o quarto capítulo, centrado na análise de Partiste, são complementados aspectos importantes de sua estrutura. Com o auxílio de Pierre Bourdieu, observa-se como a família aparece no enredo, além da força e importância da personagem da Mãe. O capítulo é acrescido de reflexões sobre o modo como o tema partida perpassa as cenas. Há, também, a apresentação da sinopse de outro texto de Alcântara pertencente ao que ele denomina de Dramaturgia da Partida, da qual faz parte Partiste.

The thesis "PARTISTE AND ITS CREATIVE DIALOGUES: Constructing a Dramaturgy of the Departure", is part of the Graduate Program in Performing Arts of the Federal University of Bahia ( UFBA ). It presents the study of the process of creating of the piece Partiste, written by Paulo Henrique Alcântara, who, in his work, resorted to dialogue with memory, poetry and cinema. These elements contributed to the appearance of a memoirist work, involved by a central theme: the departure. Its emergence, as well as the analysis of their creative vectors and the text components, motivates the construction of another piece with the same subject. The first chapter discusses the memory as a source for creating Partiste as an autobiographical plot, whose elaboration was supported by the access to the photographs of the author’s family and hometown. Roland Barthes, Gaston Bachelard, Gilles Deleuze and especially Henri Bergson attend to the understanding of memory. In the second chapter, there is an approach about how the poetry of Adelia Prado and the movie Central do Brazil, by Walter Salles, supported the creation. Afterward, the third chapter presents the relationship between theater and memory from texts by the playwrights Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams, Eugene O'Neill, Mauro Rasi and the filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore, that, in their plays and screenplays, actuated memories as means of creation. Finally, in the fourth chapter, focused on the analysis of Partiste, important aspects of its structure are complemented. With the help of Pierre Bourdieu, it observes how the family appears in the plot and the strength and importance of the character of the Mother. This chapter is increased by reflections on how the theme of the departure goes through the scenes. There is also the presentation of the synopsis of another text by Alcântara belonging to what he calls Dramaturgy of the Departure, in which Partiste is included.
