Léxico brasileiro em dicionários monolíngues e bilíngues: estudo metalexicográfico da variação em perspectiva dialetal e histórica

Abstract

Avaliou-se, nesta tese, a variação de cunho geolinguístico no léxico do português brasileiro (PB) registrado em dicionários monolíngues e bilíngues português-inglês. Dentro desse propósito, analisou-se historicamente a presença das marcas de uso dialetais, empregadas nos dicionários selecionados para composição do corpus, no período compreendido entre o século XVIII e o XXI, quando já são notadas expressões desse tipo de variação na microestrutura dos verbetes. Recorreu-se aos dados registrados nas cartas semântico-lexicais do Atlas Linguístico do Brasil (2014), utilizando-os como referência para observação da variação nas publicações investigadas. Incluiu-se, ainda, neste trabalho, a descrição das mega, macro e microestruturas das obras, com vistas a apresentar o contexto de produção e o posicionamento de lexicógrafos e suas equipes na constituição do projeto lexicográfico. As abreviaturas, no âmbito megaestrutural, e as marcas de uso, no microestrutural, emergem como parte essencial da definição em dicionários, recebendo atenção especial pela informação extralinguística contida, levando-se em conta as diferenças que permeiam o universo das obras monolíngues e bilíngues. Como produto da investigação proposta, apresenta-se um cotejo das obras lexicográficas analisadas, a partir das ocorrências reunidas no Atlas Linguístico do Brasil, verificando-se se e em que medida o registro da variação dialetal ocorre. Ademais, apresenta-se um pequeno glossário dialetal bilíngue em que são reunidas as unidades lexicais do ALiB, privilegiando-se a variação diatópica na elaboração das definições.

It was evaluated in this thesis the geolinguistic variation in the lexicon of the Brazilian Portuguese (BP), registered in monolingual and bilingual Portuguese-English dictionaries. Within this purpose, it was historically analyzed the presence of the dialectal use marks used in the dictionaries selected for the composition of the corpus from the eighteenth to twenty-first century, when expressions of this type of variation are already noted in the microstructure of the entries. The items registered by the semantic-lexical occurrences of the Atlas Linguístico do Brasil (ALiB, 2014) were the source of this study and were used as reference to observe the variation in the investigated publications. The description of the mega, macro and microstructures of the works was also included in this study, with the focus to present the context of production and the positioning of lexicographers and their teams in the constitution of the lexicographic project. The mega-structural abbreviations and use marks in the microstructural emerge as an essential part of the definition in dictionaries, receiving special attention for the extralinguistic information contained, taking into account the differences that permeate the universe of monolingual and bilingual works. As a product of the proposed research, a comparison of the lexicographic works analyzed, from the occurrences gathered in the Atlas Linguístico do Brasil, to verify if and to what extent the record of the dialectal variation occurs was presented. In addition to that, a small bilingual dialectal glossary in which the lexical units of the ALiB are grouped, with diatopic variation being preferred in the elaboration of definitions, was presented.
