A Visão Criminalizadora de jovens negros a partir das manchetes de jornais

Abstract

A presente pesquisa analisa a visão criminalizadora de jovens negros a partir das manchetes de jornais, sob a ótica da Criminologia Crítica. Assim realizou-se um estudo sobre as reportagens policiais dos três principais jornais de maior circulação na cidade do Salvador sobre as condutas definidas como crime atribuído à juventude negra e pobre dos bairros populares e suburbanos da cidade. No trabalho analisou-se os discursos jornalísticos no contexto social do bairro do Nordeste de Amaralina. Buscou também interpretar os discursos jornalísticos à luz da Constituição Federal de 1988 e o Estatuto da criança e do Adolescente. Desenvolveu-se uma breve análise das correlações dessa criminalização com a escravidão das populações negras no Brasil, que se chamou de O Lado Sombrio. Como também debateu-se o racismo e o genocídio, a criminalização do negro e a criminalização da pobreza. Por fim, se confrontou o discurso jornalístico e o Direito, a partir da Constituição, do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, o papel da mídia e os conceitos de liberdade, informação, e direito de resposta, a vida privada, a honra, a imagem. Com uma abordagem qualitativa, realizou-se uma investigação com princípios etnográficos no bairro do Nordeste de Amaralina, associada a uma análise documental dos jornais.

The present study addresses the theme: the anticriminating view of young blacks from the headlines of newspapers, from the point of view of Criminology Criticism, the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, and the Constitution of 1988. Thus a study was carried out on police reports of the three main newspapers of greater circulation in the city of Salvador, in the sense of influencing the criminalization of black and poor young people in the popular and suburban neighborhoods of the city. In the work the journalistic discourses within the social context of the district of the Northeast of Amaralina were analyzed. He also sought to interpret journalistic discourses in light of the 1988 Federal Constitution and the Child and Adolescent Statute. A brief history of the violence in Brazil was developed that was called: the dark side. As Racism, genocide and racial insult have also been debated in the light of criminal law. As well as the criminalization of the Negro and the criminalization of poverty. Finally, if confronted with journalistic discourse and law, the role of the media and the concepts of freedom, information, and right of reply, private life, honor, and image were approached the guiding concepts of criminology, punctuating their specificities and making brief comments on the concepts of racism and socio-racial discrimination and the gulf between blacks and whites and genocide of the black people and appropriation of institutes of racial insult and of the Statutes of Racial Equality and the Statute of the Child and of the Adolescent. Once these analyzes have been carried out, it concludes despite differences between the treatment of crimes committed by poor and vulnerable blacks and the crimes committed by agents who have the power to defend themselves against State abuses.
