A DOBRADIÇA INTERFACE ENTRE A LITERATURA E AS ARTES PLÁSTICAS NO ROMANCE STELLA MANHATTAN

Abstract

O enlace entre a literatura e as artes plásticas tem como palco o romance Stella Manhattan do escritor Silviano Santiago. Essa dobradiça interface é apresentada quando o autor dedica a criação dos seus personagens aos Bichos de Lygia Clark e à série La Poupeé, do escultor surrealista Hans Bellmer. É nessa interface que surge uma narrativa travestida, irreverente e pujante sobre a organicidade e a desarticulação do corpo. O romance Stella Manhattan é um elogio ao movimento de resistência do corpo. É nessa perspectiva que o diálogo entre as linguagens se constitui como um dispositivo que promove a criação de personagens marcados por uma afirmação contínua do desejo. As personagens dobradiças de Silviano Santiago são corpos que lutam contra o peso de uma sociedade heteronormativa e excludente. Seus corpos desejam a descontinuidade da opressão, por isso carregam a bandeira do Maio 68 e do movimento Stonewall. No intuito de denunciar a domesticação do corpo, essas máquinas desejantes fazem com que o fluxo dos movimentos coletivos, que valorizam a diferença, perpetue-se na busca de uma nova subjetividade e outros modos de existência.

The link between literature and the Visual Arts has staged the novel Stella Manhattan writer Silviano Santiago.
