Autor(es): Santos, José Alexandre Ferraz de Andrade; Cunha, Felipe Barroco Fontes; Torres, Ednildo Andrade
Abstract: The current paradigm of electric generation is centralized generation, however an energy transition with several innovations has been taking place and a new decentralized model has emerged, advancing distributed generation (GD). Thus, the aim of this paper is to present the Brazilian regulation about DG, your evolution and case study. The method used was an exploratory, descriptive and bibliographic study. The results were: finding the growth of GD in 2012-2018; considerable potential for growth and underutilization of GD for social benefits. It was concluded that, despite the regulatory evolution, there is a need for further improvements to better serve society.

Abstract: Renewable energies are fundamental to ensure energy security, less environmental impacts and the sustainability of contemporary development in the World. Among of renewable energies, the wind energy has stood out in recent years. This article aims to presents the Wind energy evolution in the World and especially in Brazil in period 2009-2018. The methodology used was a literature review and data analysisof national and international agencies and entities of the area of energy. The verified results confirm that the experience with wind energy in the world and in Brazil are successful and tend to continue to develop well.

Renewable distributed generation evolution: perspectives and new trends for prosumers in Brazil and Italy

Título: Renewable distributed generation evolution: perspectives and new trends for prosumers in Brazil and Italy
Autor(es): Cunha, Felipe Barroco Fontes; Santos, José Alexandre Ferraz de Andrade; Pilo, Francesca; Nucci, Carlo Alberto; Silva, Marcelo Santana; Torres, Ednildo Andrade
Abstract: Cities are facing unprecedented challenges driven by different forces. On the one hand the ever-increasing effects of climate change are impacting on the urban microclimate and environmental balance, on the other one social, political and economic issues are influencing the living conditions, the accessibility to primary services and resources, as well as growth opportunities for the younger generations. The rise of a social awareness regarding these topics suggests how relevant scientific-based evidence could be and calls for additional efforts to bridge the gap between science and society, in order to stimulate a collective responsibility and due actions. The complex interaction among these factors inspired a forward-looking reflection not only on key drivers of change but also on possible future trends for research assuming an interdisciplinary and multiscale perspective. The book collects several experiences from different contributors working in many contexts and countries, but sharing the same projection to the future. Four key priorities are addressed: the resilience to climaterelated events and impacts, the energy issue with reference to both the advances at building level and the role of end users, the capacity to adapting components and systems to emerging needs, and the adoption of assessment and simulation tools for improving the design capacity within a circular system perspective. The book provides therefore insights, experiences, approaches to deal with current and especially with future transition processes which are expected to shape the cities of tomorrow. Thus, its ambition is not to provide definitive answers but to become a starting point for exploring promising research pathways for the next generation cities.

Abstract: The publication "Energy for Bahia in 2030" was prepared by the Academy of Sciences of Bahia (ACB). It is part of a set of eight publications called "Science, Technology and Innovation for the Development of Bahia", whose objective is the dissemination of a series of scientific articles based on studies and research carried out by some renowned Bahian academics, professors and researchers, with a view to addressing priority issues for the development of Bahia in different aspects. The publication "Energy for Bahia in 2030" presents information on wind, solar, biomass, hydroelectric, fossil, nuclear, among others. It analyzes strategic issues related to S&T research and the training of human resources, in addition to pointing out the main limitations and challenges of project development in Bahia. The document also provides an assessment of trends in the energy scenario and proposals that should be useful in guiding public policies for the State of Bahia.
