Thus, educational institutions adopted as an alternative, for the possibility of returning and continuing classes, the implementation of Remote Emergency Teaching in the online modality (MIRANDA; LIMA; OLIVEIRA; TELLES, 2020). Considering these adaptations to everyday life in the year 2020, this study has as its central proposal to discuss, from a descriptive literature review, about the mental health of university students and to promote introductory reflection about the implications triggered in the experience of these individuals with the adoption of emergency remote teaching and the use of technological resources to maintain pedagogical practices by Brazilian higher education institutions. Based on this finding and in light of the above, the need to establish dialogues and articulation practices with diversified knowledge is discussed as an initiative for possible interventions that can support and contribute to well-being actions, coping with the mental illness of university students and in the effectiveness encouraging healthier, humane and supportive experiences in the academic context.
