Abstract: Sexual violence is a violation of rights and a public health issue. Children and adolescents are at greater risk of being sexually victimized due to the vulnerability and dependence typical of each developmental period. Various consequences can be associated with mental health and behavioral problems, not only for the victims but also for their families. Considering that the provision of care and the development of coping strategies for sexual violence must consider the family as a whole, this research aimed to analyze the experiences of families with adolescent victims of sexual violence who access the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS) in a municipality in the interior of Bahia. The research is linked to the "Human Development and Educational Practices in Health" line of the Professional Master's Program in Health Psychology (UFBA - IMS/CAT), which aims to study human development and its relationship with health in the environmental, family, institutional, and community context. The design adopted was qualitative, of a descriptive-exploratory nature. Participants in the study were three caregivers of adolescents registered with the Specialized Social Assistance Reference Center (CREAS) due to victimization by sexual violence. Data collection involved the use of multiple techniques in distinct stages: narrative interview, genogram, and ecomap. Data analysis was conducted based on the construction of meaning cores, grounded in Vygotsky's historical-cultural perspective. From the analysis, four meaning cores emerged: sexual violence as a rupture and a challenge to understanding; the emotional and relational impacts of sexual violence and the required adaptations; ambivalences of the institutional and informal protection network; and social and structural dimensions of sexual violence. Based on these results, a Technical Technological Product was developed in accordance with the objectives of the Professional Master's Program. This product is a guide, in e-book format, directed at parents and guardians of adolescent victims of sexual violence, aiming the appliance of scientific knowledge in practice and contributing to the improvement of practices in the protection network services. In conclusion, this research contributes to a broader understanding of the role of families in addressing sexual violence and the need for intersectoral public policies that guarantee continuous and humane support.

Abstract: This dissertation, developed within the Professional Master's Program in Health Psychology (IMS-UFBA/CAT), aimed to evaluate the quality and operating conditions of the Hospital Psychology Service of a general hospital in the interior of Bahia, using Donabedian's triad (structure, process, and outcome) as a reference. The study adopted a qualitative approach and utilized triangulation of methods and sources—interviews with psychologists, managers, and users, participant observation, and document analysis—allowing for an understanding of the service from multiple clinical, institutional, and management perspectives. Technological Product I, the First Hospital and Health Psychology Conference of Southwest Bahia—"Struggles and Mourning in Hospital Psychology Training," served as a space for scientific dissemination and interinstitutional coordination, reaching over 150 participants and fostering the creation of regional networks for support and continuing education in mental health and hospitals. Its social impact was evident in the valorization of hospital psychologists as agents of care and in the expansion of public debate on the humanization of care. Technological Product II, the Technical Assessment Report of the Hospital Psychology Service of the Vitória da Conquista Hospital Complex (CHVC), systematized field findings and presented managerial and structural recommendations that could be implemented by the institution. Its social impact stems from the practical use of the document as a management and continuous improvement tool, strengthening the Unified Health System (SUS) and the quality of hospital psychological care.

Abstract: This dissertation is part of the Clinical Practices and Mental Health research line of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Psychology at the Federal University of Bahia. Its main objective is to propose the screening of stress factors and coping strategies for professionals working in regional polyclinics, based on the synthesis of scientific evidence. The specific objectives are: to identify the main occupational stressors in specialized health services; to synthesize the most appropriate coping strategies for occupational stress; and to produce a booklet with guidelines for identifying stressors, a questionnaire for screening and identifying the most appropriate coping strategies for workers working in Bahia's Regional Health Polyclinics. This is a literature review with the aim of systematizing scientific evidence for application in health services, which was developed in two stages: 1. Two reviews (one of scope and one of evidence synthesis), 2. Construction of booklet for managers and professionals, based on the synthesis of evidence. The central research questions were: Based on scientific production, what are the main stressors for the occupational health of professionals working in specialized medium-complexity services? What is the main scientific evidence of recommendations for occupational stress coping strategies considered most appropriate for professionals working in specialized medium-complexity services? The results were presented in 2 articles and 1 technical product. The first article “Occupational stressors in medium-complexity health services: a scoping review”. The second article “Mapping evidence on strategies for coping with occupational stress in workers in specialized health services”. And a technical technological product: “Coping with work stress and tracking stressors – Booklet for managers and professionals working in the Regional Health Polyclinics of Bahia.” In this way, the results obtained can help professionals to be less exposed to situations of mental stress. The study contributed specifically to the technical production and generation of the intervention product, and to the objectives of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Psychology at the Federal University of Bahia, in addition to professional qualification with an emphasis on Health Psychology practices, as an interdisciplinary field of study that seeks to improve the quality of life of the population through health prevention, promotion and treatment.

      <title>Esquemas iniciais desadaptativos e estresse racial em universitários brasileiros</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.ufba.br/handle/ri/42613</link>
      <description>Título: Esquemas iniciais desadaptativos e estresse racial em universitários brasileiros

Abstract: The objective of this study was to investigate the difference of Early Maladapitive Schemas&#xD;
(EMS) among undergraduate students self-identified Afro-Brazilians and Whites and the&#xD;
relationship between EMS and Racial Stress in undergraduate students self-identified&#xD;
Afro-Brazilians. This is a quantitative, descriptive and correlational study. Furthermore, this is&#xD;
a cross-sectional study, conducted with 263 undergraduate students, whose data was collected&#xD;
online from March 4th to June 14th of 2024. Of this sample, 159 auto-identified as&#xD;
Afro-Brazilians, 101 as White, 2 as Asians and 1 as Indigenous and enrolled in college, either&#xD;
public or private. The sample analysis followed three stages: testing of the factorial structure&#xD;
of the items (AFC) of the instruments, analysis of comparison among groups and correlation&#xD;
of the factors. This thesis is part of the Human Development and Educational Practices in&#xD;
Health research line, because the Racial Stress has repercussions in health that goes&#xD;
throughout the whole life in non-white individuals. From this research it was possible to&#xD;
elaborate an integrative review article, two book chapters, an empirical article and a&#xD;
psychoeducational manual. The review article aimed to investigate how Brazilian scientific&#xD;
literature approaches mental health care to adults who suffered of racial discrimination. The&#xD;
first book chapter describes the repercussions of racism in the Brazilian context, considering&#xD;
the ethno-raciality context and racism in Brazil and its illnesses, furthermore it develops care&#xD;
practices in psychology to assure the principles and values of the Unified Health System&#xD;
(SUS). Meanwhile, the second chapter investigated how literature approaches mental health&#xD;
care practices of the Afro-Brazilian population in a national context and discussed the results&#xD;
based on Psychology Health. The empirical article demonstrated that students with greater&#xD;
experiences of Cultural Discrimination tend to present greater vulnerability, negativity and&#xD;
mistrust perception. Finally, the Educational Manual, in interactive e-Book format, Technical&#xD;
and Technological Product required by the Professional Master's Program in Health&#xD;
Psychology, sought to deal with emotional discomfort triggered when answering to the survey&#xD;
and to be used as a guide for daily life, as well as a therapeutic material and as a support for&#xD;
future researches. Among the limitations of this study highlights the size and type of the&#xD;
sample. The research has been conducted only among undergraduate students and the sample&#xD;
size makes it impossible to calculate the invariance of the measurements used. This makes it&#xD;
impossible to generalize the data. Furthermore, the data collection through retrospective&#xD;
self-reported instruments, which are subject to emotional biases and mnemonic coding, is also&#xD;
a limitation. In this regard, it is suggested that future research investigate a more diverse&#xD;
population, considering other variables, and using multimethods. Finally, it is emphasized that&#xD;
this research highlights vulnerabilities that are reinforced by the mechanisms that sustain&#xD;
racism and exacerbate illnesses, which could provide support for sensitive practices and&#xD;
interventions.
