Abstract: This study seeks to discuss the dynamics of the university system in Brazil from an antiracist, counter-colonial, and decolonial perspective. Grounded in bibliographic sources, its
overall objective is to critically grasp the following issues and themes: the coloniality of
power, knowledge, and Being, racism, and the Brazilian university. Here, race and racism are
central, since the discussion on ethnic-racial relations is fundamental to reflecting on the
social question in Brazil—a country in which social relations are undeniably racialized. It is
also crucial to problematize the colonialities and their intersections with ethnicity and race,
gender, sexualities, and more. The work aims to strengthen a praxis that confronts the
colonialities produced globally. It begins by positioning discussions around the coloniality of
power as it coexists with capitalism, with the intention of contextualizing and decolonizing
historical processes. It then addresses the categories of race and racism based on authors from
the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Social Work fields. Finally, it seeks to highlight issues
related to the concrete reality of the Brazilian university, as well as to present reflections on
the places and non-places of non-white body-voices in the context of public higher education.
Based on readings, analyses, and participatory observations, it was possible to analyze a
range of issues concerning the production of colonialities and their effects on Black,
Indigenous, and Quilombola experiences in the face of academic racism and whiteness within
the university, which also reflects liberal arrangements. It was also identified that, despite the
ongoing colonial and racist structures, there is a real creation and contestation of narratives,
epistemologies, and resistance practices led by non-white groups within the context of the
contemporary university.

Abstract: Institutional racism is a pivotal factor perpetuating health inequities. Understanding the health of the Black population requires acknowledging that racism in Brazilian society catalyzes their placement in the worst social indicator categories. This research aims to examine the implementation and effectiveness of the National Comprehensive Health Policy for the Black Population (PNISPN) in Bahia, considering achievements and challenges. The analysis employs critical theoretical frameworks on Brazilian racial relations, exploring colonization's socio-spatial impacts, the Black movement's role, and PNISPN's creation, implementation, and evaluation. Qualitative research focuses on conceptual discussions and action reflections. A technical-scientific exploratory visit to Bahia's Health Department informed this study. Findings highlight institutional racism's impact on PNISPN implementation and emphasize social participation's importance in affirmative action policies combating racism's detrimental effects on Black Brazilian health.

Abstract: The general objective of the research was to analyze the work of social workers in the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) in Camaçari's city, state of Bahia. The specific objectives were: to characterize and analyse the SUAS in the municipality; to understand and reflect on the requirements demands and professional responses of social workers; and to identify and analyse the professional competencies and private attributions of social workers in the multi-professional technical team of the SUAS. The dissertation's methodology included qualitative research, with documentary analysis and empirical research, in which data collection consisted of an online questionnaire with twenty social workers who make up the reference teams of social assistance services in the city Camaçari (BA). The data was analyzed in the light of the critical-dialectical methodological theoretical perspective. The results of the research were: excess and accumulation of work; weaknesses in the development of social assistance services, especially with regard to the comprehensiveness of services, programs and benefits; non-compliance with the norms and recommendations of the
social assistance policy and the profession; ethical and technical conflicts; undue requests; and weaknesses in terms of professional articulation and mobilization as a professional category. Therefore we conclude that in the professional practice of social workers in the SUAS it is essential to deepen the theoretical-critical foundation and strengthen the category and the user population in the spaces of social control and political struggles, in order to overcome the conservative and welfare bias present in the execution of social assistance services of the social assistance policy in Camaçari, so as to ensure the materialization of the professional ethical-political project and contribute to professional work based on a critical perspective.

Abstract: The rise of information and communication technologies (ICTs) has profoundly marked contemporary society, significantly influencing the field of Social Work. This dissertation investigates the relationship between Social Work and ICTs, highlighting the transformations driven by rapid technological expansion. Using a qualitative approach and integrative review, the study analyzes theses and dissertations from 2017 to 2023 to understand the current dynamics between Social Work and information technology. The objectives include mapping the conceptions of technology in Social Work, analyzing the interactions between ICTs and Social Work in the contemporary context, and investigating the contributions of ICTs to the profession. The research revealed a predominant critical perspective, which sees technology as a field of ideological and practical dispute, emphasizing its ambivalent nature as both a product and influencer of social and economic realities. An increasing integration of information technology with Social Work practices was observed, especially through platforms used in public policies, affecting work methods, communication, and information management. The contributions of information technology were recognized in areas such as Communication and Interaction, Data Management and Surveillance, Training, and Research. The analysis pointed to a variety of perspectives, from criticism of technology's role in capitalism to acknowledgment of its benefits. Therefore, it is concluded that the integration of technology in Social Work brings opportunities for innovation and ethical and practical challenges, requiring a critical approach to align its use with the ethical-political principles of the profession.
