The proposal here is that academic studies on dance, as an area of ​​knowledge, are permeated, crossed and informed mainly by elements present in popular expressive manifestations in the Northeast region of Brazil, recognizing the epistemological value of such phenomena.&#xD;
In the second chapter, Professor Isabelle Cordeiro Nogueira presents the component Compositional Elements of Dance Scenes, which addresses important aspects of creation, basing our actions and activities through theoretical and practical references.

In the second chapter, Prof. Dr. Lia Sfoggia presents the Special Topics in Dance component, questioning the encounter between Art and Culture, through the investigation of aspects and concepts of contemporaneity, in implication with the making of dance.&#xD;
In the third chapter, Prof. Dr. Thiago Assis presents the Introduction to Dance Research Component, bringing an initial overview of concepts and procedures related to academic research, based on the understanding of Dance as a Field of Knowledge.
