Abstract: The objective of this research was to understand the Center for Studies and Research in Gender and Sexuality (Nepgens) at Ifes Campus Itapina as a space of (re)cognition, diversity, and resistance within the academic community. In this sense, the study sought to identify Nepgens' actions that contribute to an inclusive education focused on valuing sexual and gender diversity, which is non-sexist and non-LGBTphobic. To this end, the Center's initiatives were mapped to understand their relationship with the promotion of diversity and respect for differences. The study also aimed to identify actions related to gender and sexuality promoted by Nepgens, as well as to describe their impacts and reverberations in the academic community. This research is a case study with a qualitative approach, which used semi-structured interviews and observation as its main investigation techniques. The results showed that, even with still discrete actions, Nepgens is recognized by its collaborators as a relevant space within the institution, being perceived as a "space-time" for welcoming, listening, and dialogue, with initiatives that have the potential to promote transformations in the school environment, making it more inclusive and emancipatory. On the other hand, the testimonies also highlighted resistance to the inclusion of these themes in the daily school life, as well as the need to strengthen the Center through greater institutional support and the engagement of the academic community in general. It is concluded that Nepgens plays a fundamental role in promoting an inclusive, equitable education committed to human rights, contributing to the emancipation and appreciation of diversity. However, for its actions to be more effectively consolidated, it is necessary that the themes of gender and sexuality be inserted more progressively, planned, and continuously into pedagogical and institutional practices, with the involvement and commitment of the entire school community. As an educational product, the development of a "permanent educational panel" is proposed, to be built collectively and collaboratively with the interested academic community, in order to disseminate Nepgens' activities among the school community, spread knowledge about gender and sexuality, and foster a non-sexist and non-homophobic education.

Abstract: This research aimed to analyze how the school newspaper "E.T.V." (1943-1960), produced by students and staff of the Vitória Technical School (1942-1965), constitutes an element of institutional memory and contributes to understanding how civism, Taylorism-Fordism, and discipline were incorporated into the school routine. Considering the institution's emergence in a context of transition between &#xD;
correctional-assistentialist education, characteristic of the Artisan Apprentice Schools, and the Taylorist-Fordist model (Pinto, 2006; Lima, 2010; Ciavatta, 2009; 2019), the study sought to contextualize the newspaper as a documentary source, relating it to discussions on history and memory (Halbwachs, 1990; Bloch, 2001; Nora, 2009; Le Goff, 2013) and to the contributions of the New History (Le Goff, 2001). Furthermore, the importance of preserving this type of material and the role of professionals such as librarians and archivists is emphasized, highlighting the Ifes Institutional Memory Project, whose initial collection includes the "E.T.V." newspaper. This applied research uses a qualitative approach and is characterized as exploratory, employing content analysis technique (Bardin, 2009). Civism, Taylorism, &#xD;
and discipline were defined as central categories; religion, cultural and sports activities as subcategories. Discipline, analyzed in light of Althusser (1987), Foucault (2010) and Ariès (2021), proved to be transversal to the other categories, serving as an instrument of domination. As Technical and Technological Production of the research, a thematic catalog was developed with newspaper clippings that illustrate the discussed categories. It is concluded that the "E.T.V." newspaper is a relevant documentary source both for Ifes institutional memory and for studies on Professional Education.

Abstract: This research addresses the right to accessibility in the student selection process at the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo, with a focus on people with disabilities, highlighting its importance in promoting inclusion and equal opportunities in education. The study is situated within the theoretical framework of inclusive education, accessibility, and assistive technology. To achieve the proposed objectives, a case study was conducted using a qualitative approach, with data collected through a literature review and discussion circles with students with disabilities and administrative staff who were directly or indirectly involved in the stages of the selection process. The data were analyzed using the Content Analysis technique, as proposed by Bardin (2011). Among the main findings, it was identified that there is still a need to &#xD;
broaden the understanding of the concept of accessibility, in all its dimensions, among the participants—particularly the students. The study also revealed that some barriers hinder candidates with disabilities from accessing the selection process autonomously and independently. As an intervention proposal, the creation of short videos using simple language and accessibility resources was suggested, aiming to complement and clarify the information provided in the public notices.

Abstract: This intervention research investigated how the theme of chemical waste management can be addressed in the curriculum of initial chemistry teacher education, in order to enhance Critical Environmental Education (CEE). It is a qualitative, documentary research, whose data source was the Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC) of the Chemistry Teacher Education Program at Ifes Campus Aracruz. Data analysis was conducted using the Content Analysis technique, focusing on the presence of Environmental Education (EE) and chemical waste in the document, as well as on the perspective of EE addressed in the curriculum based on the conservative, pragmatic, and critical macro-trends. The results revealed that, although EE is formally present in the Chemistry Teacher Education curriculum, its approach occurs in a fragmented way and, at times, disconnected from a critical perspective. The theme of chemical waste, in turn, is addressed in a punctual, technical, and normative manner, without dialogue with the principles of Critical Environmental Education (CEE), which highlights a gap in teacher education regarding the educational potential of chemical waste management. As an outcome of the research, a proposal for a manual on the treatment and disposal of chemical waste under the perspective of CEE is presented as a pedagogical tool to be integrated into the curriculum of chemistry teacher education.
