Abstract: This research investigates how digital culture on Instagram influences the identity of young family farmers in the Recôncavo of Bahia region. The theories and concepts discussed in the study explore the intersection between identity, digital culture, and young family farmers, highlighting how identity formation processes are influenced by social, cultural, and economic factors. The research also addresses how new technologies and digital platforms are redefining identity dynamics among young farmers. Conducted with young people aged 20 to 29 from the Identity Territory of Recôncavo of Bahia, the research identified active profiles on Instagram, mapping and categorizing the identities represented. The interviews revealed that young people often hide their farmer identity, prioritizing "instagrammable" activities such as leisure, academic life, and urban-related activities. The initial hypothesis was that digital cultures with an urban bias would contribute to a negative perception of family farming. The research reveals fragmented identities, shaped by field experiences and digital influences. Despite the importance of family farming, many young people feel uncomfortable exposing this identity on Instagram.

Abstract: This work analyzes performance as a situated cultural practice, understanding it, in light of Cultural Studies, as a sensitive technology capable of organizing affects, mobilizing discourses, and interpellating subjectivities. The research begins with the premise that performance not only conveys meanings but also actively participates in the production and contestation of social and cultural meanings, serving as a form of symbolic mediation in specific historical contexts. Rather than examining music solely as a sonic form, this study proposes a reading of performance as an embodied language, shaped by technical devices, regimes of sensibility, and structures of visibility. To this end, two emblematic performances of Brazilian popular song are analyzed in depth: Gal Costa’s performance in "Divino Maravilhoso" at the 4th Festival of Brazilian Popular Music (1968), and the group Secos &amp; Molhados' performance of "O Vira" (1973), both historically situated in the Years of Lead of the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship. In both cases, the dissertation examines how scenes of interpellation, transgressive gesturalities, and forms of dramatizing the sensible are constructed to destabilize normativities and produce symbolic displacements. The work draws on theoretical approaches from authors such as Judith Butler, Stuart Hall, Victor Turner, and Richard Schechner, aiming to understand how these performances operate as political-poetic devices capable of condensing temporalities, provoking perceptive reconfigurations, and contesting meanings related to the body, language, and listening within Brazilian culture.

<title>Pensamento e práticas descoloniais na construção identitária de trabalhadoras rurais: um caso da Associação de Mulheres Descendentes de Quilombos de Lajedo de Eurípedes</title>

Abstract: This dissertation explores decolonial thinking and practices in the identity construction of rural women workers, with a focus on the Association of Women Descendants of the Quilombos of Lajedo de Eurípedes, located in Lapão, in the interior of Bahia. The research is based on post-colonial studies, articulating de(s)colonial feminisms and discussions on identity construction, political identity and epistemologies of the South. In this scenario, the Association emerges as a space for unity and learning where women find support and the means to develop projects and objectives, strengthening their autonomy and action in the community. The research methodology is based on thematic analysis, identifying analytical categories such as understanding the countryside, hierarchical relations in the family and the countryside, and associative and community ways of coping. The study shows that, even without theoretical appropriation of de(s)colonial concepts, which are not relevant to their experiences, the women of the Association build their own ways of coping and resisting, which are understood here as decolonial practices. The women's narratives reveal the persistence of dominant discourses, but also their denial and resistance to them, showing an identity in continuous transformation. In addition, the narratives also reveal tensions between the internalization of patriarchal, racist and capitalist values and the displacements produced by the organizational and political experiences in the association, which cause changes in their perceptions of identity, self-image, the valorization of women's rural work and the reconfiguration of social roles. Therefore, from the research, it was possible to understand that, at the same time as resisting the colonial logic through their coping strategies marked by decolonial thinking and practices, the women rural workers of the Association of Women Descendants of Quilombos of Lajedo de Eurípedes are located in the colonial difference, acting from the fractured locus, being subject to colonial thinking and practices that were presented through some elements in their narratives and in their interactions.

Abstract: This dissertation analyzes the visual album Setransneja, an authorial audiovisual work released in 2022, which mixes Northeastern sertanejo rhythms (baião, piseiro, arrocha) with electronic elements (ravefunk, synthesizers), exploring aesthetic and political dimensions from an essayistic and ethnographic perspective. The research explores issues of gender identity, migration and the belonging of trans people from the northeast of Brazil, combining personal experiences with theoretical reflections. The first chapter, starting with the opening track, discusses Xica Manicongo's transatlantic diaspora, the concepts of cultural identity and diaspora (Hall) and the forced displacement of trans bodies, thought of as sexiles (Manuel Guzmán), in dialogue with Antônio Bispo dos Santos' notion of territoriality. The second chapter proposes a methodology based on the track Toma Desce Toma Toma, bringing together the aesthetics of the paredão and peripheral epistemologies that place the body as the center of knowledge, challenging cultural elitism in relation to rhythms such as fun and pagode baiano. In the third chapter, the tracks Amor Encubado and Não Foi Só Um Programa provoke transfeminist reflections on affections and sex work. Finally, the fourth chapter, with the track Trava da Peste, brings the perspective of critical fabulation and elements of nature, especially the river, as an ecological subject essential to life in the sertão, as opposed to the impacts of agribusiness and extractivism.
