Abstract: Rural Brazil, multicolored by its cultures and people, is presented in this e-book entitled “THE COLORS AND BLOOD, memories and resistance in Rural Brazil”. Elaborated from the tables and communications presented during the II Journey of Agrarian History, held on December 3 and 4, 2020, organized by the Agrarian History WG of the National Association of History – Bahia Section (ANPUH/BA) and by the Pro-Rectory of Extension at UFBA. The book is divided into three parts, the first being “Memories of the Field”, the second “Female and Indigenous Resistance in the Struggle for Land” and the third “Sources and Methods for Agrarian History”. Composed of texts by researchers who focus on the issues of the land and its people, the analyzes and narratives present in the e-book are supported by different sources, from literary, to newspapers, and images, passing through oral reports and memories, even the classic, ecclesiastical land records. The approaches are plural and reveal the daily struggle over land in Brazil, in different places and times that, marked by cultural practices and power relations, reveal the different and creative forms of resistance in Rural Brazil.
