Abstract: This article seeks to analyze, through the critique of political economy approach, the dynamics of the government of Dilma Rousseff, elected by the Workers' Party, and the current ongoing crisis in order to identify (1) the main factors that led to the economical and political crisis underway in the country, which is progressively assuming a structural character under the effects of “Lava Jato” operation, and (2) the possible consequences of this crisis in the short-run (fiscal adjustment, impeachment, governmental lethargy,&#xD;
fraying of PT) as well as in the long-run (pro-capitalist neoliberal reforms and&#xD;
restructuring of capital blocks).

    <description>Título: A guerra de todos contra todos: a crise brasileira

Abstract: The inability of the dominant sectors to control the “power nucleus” of the Brazilian state has generated a war of all against all. This paper analyzes the current crisis of Brazilian capitalism in three interdependent dimensions: accumulation, political scene and the relationship between the power block and the State. We show how the problems of the capitalist accumulation and the political scene have been growing and&#xD;
how they have gained a character of structural crisis from the effects of Operation Car Wash (Lava Jato). It is argued further that the relationship between the Operation and the mainstream media exposed, through leaks, the relationship between the state (and its bureaucracy) and part of the power bloc of Brazilian capitalism. This – added to the increasing conflict between capital and labor, the problems of profit realization and the international crisis – has temporarily disrupted the (explicit and implicit) rules of capital&#xD;
accumulation in Brazil. For the capitalist order to be reestablished in Brazil, the dominant sectors will have to (re)place its rules in a new format or even in an old one.

    <description>Título: Transformações do capitalismo contemporâneo e os impactos para a América Latina: retrospectivas, mudanças e perspectivas
Autor(es): Pinto, Eduardo Costa; Balanco, Paulo Antônio de Freitas
Abstract: This article aims to develop a stylized characterization of the transformations of contemporary capitalism from the 1990s to the first decade of the 21st century, seeking to identify the (economic and political) elements that most impacted the trajectories of these last two decades, such as the rise of US power in the 1990s, the 2008 international crisis, and the rise of China in the 2000s. Furthermore, it seeks to show how the changes of the 2000s allowed some Latin American countries to adopt effective demand-side policies – of the “developmentalist” type – to a greater or lesser degree depending on their internal political conditions and their economic connections with China.

Abstract: On can safely state that central concern of the classical economistis was economic groth, brought about by capital accumulation and by the introduction of new techniques of production. Pode-se afirmar com segurança que a preocupação central da economia clássica era a empatia econômica, provocada pela acumulação de capital e pela introdução de novas técnicas de produção.
